About me
I’m Luis
A multifaceted digital artist specializing in visual effects compositing, motion graphics, and creative storytelling. Since 2008, I’ve contributed to Hollywood blockbusters, independent films, and commercial projects, bringing seamless visual effects and high-end motion design to every frame.
I’ve worked with some of the industry’s top studios—including Image Engine, Rhythm and Hues, Zoic, Gradient FX, Rainmaker, and Crafty Apes—helping to create stunning visuals for feature films and television series. But my passion for visual storytelling extends beyond film; I also collaborate with content creators, small businesses, and independent artists to craft compelling digital content.
Whether I’m compositing high-end VFX, designing motion graphics for brands, or capturing moments through photography and videography, I bring the same level of creativity, precision, and passion to every project.
Experience & Background
I began my creative journey in photography and video editing, which led me to explore motion graphics and visual storytelling.
Over time, I transitioned into VFX compositing, later expanding my expertise in CG lighting, lookDev, and FX, allowing me to adapt to a wide range of projects.
I’ve worked on blockbuster films, TV series, and commercial projects, as well as branding visuals, promotional videos, and social media content—helping both major studios and independent creators bring their ideas to life with cinematic quality.
Creativity shapes every aspect of my life. Beyond digital artistry, I’m passionate about photography, videography, and web design, helping individuals and businesses tell their stories visually. I also run a small food business in Vancouver, which deepens my understanding of entrepreneurship and the needs of small creators.
As a dual citizen of Canada and Mexico, I split my time between Vancouver and Central Mexico, drawing inspiration from both cultures. When I’m not working on creative projects, I enjoy hiking, growing my own food, and exploring new ideas—all of which influence my artistic approach.
